Sin…and our inability at times to get the victory over it, produces stress in our lives.   We are wandering sheep and our flesh tends to make the same mistakes repeatedly.  We should not think too highly of ourselves, for we are not as good as we sometimes like to think that we are.

Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all"

Remember that we have an enemy and his sole purpose is to drive a wedge between each believer and God.  He wants us to think that God is the enemy and not Satan.  This makes us vulnerable to spiritual attacks and breeds confusion.   We're dumb sheep!

Romans 7:17-19 and 24   "Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.  For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."

"O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"

On those difficult, stressful days….examine your heart for the deceitfulness of sin.  Repentance and confession of sin is the best stress reliever there is!
