The condition of American Christians is heartbreaking. The lines of distinction in separation from sin and worldliness are so blurred that it is almost impossible to tell who the professing Christians really are.
Leviticus 20:26 “And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.”
God wants us to come out from the world after salvation and be a set apart people who reflect His mind and His character. Why should that be a difficult thing for someone who has taken up a cross to follow Christ? He wants us to be holy and not like the rest of the world.
Without a desire to be different from the world and to be distinct and Christ like in our speech, appearance and walk, we have every right to question the authenticity of our profession.
