Selfish ambition is a deadly thing. A selfish person may prosper outwardly; all things may go well with him and good fortune may smile upon him. He/she may have the smiles and favor of the world around them, but their very successes…can be a failure, if rooted in self well and self exaltation.
There is nothing better than to be able to say, “I am not my own, I belong to God”.
For Him to be glorified by the way we live this life, is the ultimate state of joy for anyone who calls themselves a Christian.
I Corinthians 6:20 “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Refuse to live in self-will and for self ambition. What joy it is to just live for Him!
