Is prayer really all that important….?
I received a letter from a missionary friend today that blessed and humbled me at the same time. At the close of her letter she said, “I pray for you daily”.
What a thought! A missionary is praying for me! I am to pray for her and all other missionaries. She is dealing daily, with another culture and its demonic influences. She needs prayer protection from Satan’s attacks on their minds, their health and their work with the people. What a powerful thing prayer is! God calls us to pray. Prayer unites us with Almighty God in a miraculous partnership to accomplish His work on this earth. How often do we fail to pray for others? They need our prayers too!
I Samuel 12:23 “Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way.”
God sees our lack of prayer as sin…. Why do we neglect such a powerful, life changing command?
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:22
Do not fail to pray for others today….Someone is praying for you!
