It's so nice to have a good friend. I have a friend who lives quite far from me. We don't see one another very often…but when we do, we just pick right up where we left off. Why? Because we are friends! Because she loves me…it is so easy to love her in return. I look forward to the next time we see each other and are able to spend time together. If I called her today, she would be happy to hear from me. It is pure joy to have that kind of friend.
So it is with the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother. When I love Him as I should, He loves me back and blesses me in a multitude of ways!
If you want a real love relationship with the LORD, then you must seek for one. Make an effort to cultivate an abiding friendship with the Heavenly Father. Talk to Him every day. Listen to Him talk to you. Think about His goodness to you. Thank Him for His goodness in your life. Tell Him you love Him. He loves to hear it!
