Do you realize how dependent we really are on God?  Often we fail to recognize that fact until we are so stressed out, burned out and worn out that all we can do is fall at His feet in weary neediness.

We need our Good Shepherd!

Sometimes He allows us to come to the end of our own resources, whether self-induced or by life circumstances, just so we can see how much we really need our Him.

He wants to teach us some things and He will lead us out into the pasture to rest, regroup or to be retrained in some area.  We may need direction in a life decision and in order to get our attention and cause us to seek Him, He will lead us into green pastures and still waters so we can think more clearly.  Oh, what a Shepherd He is!

Without His leadership and guidance in our lives, we probably wouldn't choose to rest and we'd never know the best pastures to lie down in.   There is security in the Shepherd!

Psalm 95:7 "For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand…."

Psalm 100:3 "Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture."

How thankful I am to be one of His sheep!

This is so true! I have seen it in my own life. Although I do not enjoy the hardships that bring me to the end I love the results when God is able to draw me closer through my weakness.
