There is more to the Christian life than just "getting saved". We need to know Him. We need to know about everything that we were saved to be! He saved us for more than just a rescue from going to Hell.
There is so much to know about the Lord… I need to know that His strength really is made perfect in my weakness. I need to know that His wisdom not only established the world but that it will lead me in this present life. I need to know that His grace really is sufficient for me.
There is so much more to being a Christian than just having made a profession of faith. He wants to grow me up in Him, so that I can be a reflection of Him. He wants me to truly know Him.
Colossians 1:10 "That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;"
I want to really know You, LORD…. Through Your Word I can!
